In the 100‑Year Entrenched War, a world locked in a stalemate reminiscent of World War I, the rare sparks of magic—found in a handful of individuals called expedients—fuel secret weapons and brutal intrigue, while elves of Nostrosia proclaim racial supremacy and dwarven minorities vie for power. Amid this grim conflict, the Leya Coalition fights for environmental justice and human rights against the Aerion Confederation’s ruthless push for industrial domination and magical supremacy, leaving the fragile balance of nations teetering on the brink of a new, uncharted plane of reality.

World Overview

Magic is a 1 in a million per person. The world has been stuck in a hundred year war similar to world war one. The technology is similar to 1917 with some high-tech secret weapons of war being imbued with magic.

Geography & Nations

The major nations fighting in the war are: Nostrosia, Kingdom of Brinda, Innerica, Kingdom of Fretily, Grandice, and Hulustra.

Races & Cultures

Nostrosia is full of elves that believe in their racial supremacy. Demispecies fill the world with a minority, sharing aspects of animals: dog ears, cat ears, snake scales; many demispecies are widely discriminated against. Dwarves are also a minority but still outnumber demispecies, they have different subspecies originating from different regions (Dark Dwarves from Hulustra, Loch Dwarves from Kingdom of Fretily, Industrial Dwarves from Nostrosia, etc...)

Current Conflicts

The war is split between the Leya Coalition (fighting for environmental conservation, personal rights, fairness and peace), and the Aerion Confederation (fighting for industrial and economic growth, complete world domination, and scientific research into magical supremacy). The war has gone on for nearly 100 years and has been stuck in stalemate since the start of the war. Many nations are attempting more unconventional methods such a magical wonder weapons, and in-depth intrigue operations.

Magic & Religion

Magic is a very rare and random occurrence. Individuals would have to be born with magical powers; those born with magical abilities are called expedients. Some nations try gruesome experiments to force some magical abilities out of individuals, but no successful outcomes as of yet. Many believe Magic is a blessing from the gods. Magic is randomly spread thinly through out the world, magic does not get passed down through bloodline or in-depth research. Some can find their magic at birth or sometimes the magic lies dormant for years. Some children get found out about their magical abilities at a young age, getting captured by the government to get intensely trained from a young age.

Planar Influences

There are no other planes. Some of the strongest expedients have abilities rip reality and create a new temporary plane, only they can access.
