In the sprawling, medieval realm of Alize, every being wields a unique spark of magic amid a tapestry of mixed‑race nations—ranging from the sword‑forging North to the bomb‑mastering West—while the looming shadow over Castle Four Roses threatens to unleash ancient horrors upon the continent. Amid rising war, political intrigue, and the relentless march of monsters, adventurers must navigate a world where the line between ally and adversary blurs, and the power of a single spell could tip the balance of an entire realm.

World Overview

Alize is a medieval magical realm like Final Fantasy. There are a multitude of races. Every person has some level of magic, but it varies greatly. Alize is not steampunk--there are no motorized vehicles and no guns. The dwarves are good at mechanics, but they do not build automatons. There are no guns, but there is gunpowder, so there is an opportunity to make explosives.

Geography & Nations

Alize geographically resembles Tolkien's Middle Earth. It has mountains and deserts and lush valleys and forests and everything in between. Alize is broken into four areas, Courvoirsier (the South), Perignon (the North), Cognac (the West), and Schnapps (the East). The middle of the continent is a giant sea named Mer with a large island in the middle. The island is the Island of Four Roses and is home to ancient ruins and a giant ancient castle--castle Four Roses. Castle Four Roses is thought to be abandoned, but recently a growing shadow lingers over the castle, perhaps a menace to come for the land. Meanwhile, the nations are: The southern nations are Almond, Credance, Fleetwood, and the startup nation Outkast. There are no allies in the south. Outkast is more of plains nation, with agriculture and hourses. Almond and Credance are forest countries, and Fleetwood is mountainous. The northern nations include Gerrard, Suarez, and Salah. These nations have the most industry and resources in all of Alize, and whereas they currently are at odds with each other, they may join forces... Each country looks like Liverpool. They make the best swords. The eastern nations include Schlachenmacker, Hamilton, Earnhardt, and Petty. Petty and Earnhardt are ancient, peaceful, powerful, and proud countries, while Schlachenmacker and Hamilton are new nations looking to take territory quickly. Horse country--each nation has its own breed of horses, and they are all fast. The western nations are Acuna and Albies. They are longtime allies and will not betray each other. They make the best bombs. All nations are mixed races--there are no "dwarven nations" or "elvish nations."

Races & Cultures

Alize has hundreds of civilized races and cultures. There are no single race nations, though there are racial outposts (such as an orc fort or a dwarven mine or a human farm). Generally, everywhere in Alize is mixed race. There are exceptions: the Minotaur town of Crete is renown for its swords and armor. The Gecko town of Gelato has a thieves guild, and the Dwarven City of Karakorum is a wonder carved into the mountain. There are other exceptions, but the nations themselves are not race-oriented. Evil races and spirits follow the lore of dungeons and dragons. In fact, all races and cultures follow the rules of dungeons and dragons.

Current Conflicts

Most new players start in either Acuna. Though Acuna and Albies have been steadfast allies, the recent and untimely death of the prince of Acuna, Ronald, has raised suspicion, especially after the heir of Albies, Ozzie, married Ronald's sister, thus making Ozzie the next in line for Acuna. Meanwhile, monsters and brigands are on the rise throughout Alize. Petty and Earnhardt are in open war against Schlachenmacker and Hamilton, and OutKast is gathering an army and explosives. There also has been a growing undercurrent of nationalism and avoidance of strangers. At the same time, evil races and monsters continue to slowly amass on the Island of Four Roses. Reports are that some of the groups are organized and have taken over small settlements on the continental shores of the Mer Sea.

Magic & Religion

Magic and religion follow the rules of dungeons and dragons, except that all races can use magic.
