In Broken Truths, every being is born with a fixed amount of Fragment power, a mysterious force that fuels both the world’s ancient magic and its mid‑medieval technology, while the colossal World Tree of Kalimdor pulses with its heartbeats of raw energy. Amidst a fragile balance of four kingdoms—elven Kalimdor, council‑ruled Eastern Kingdoms, tyrannical Northrend, and the tribal Vishnu—political intrigue, looming war, and the eternal question of whether Fragment is divine or accidental drive heroes to harness or master their inherited gifts.

World Overview

Magic prowess is mostly genetic and random chance. Every person is born with a certain amount of Fragment power, shortened name is Fragment. Fragment power came into existence at the dawn of time and the amount of it unchanging. When a creature or a person dies their Fragment power is recycled and released back into the universe in which another person or creature will use it. Technology in this world is mid-level around fantasy mid-medieval. Most transportation is done by wagon unless you are a noble in which you may travel by steam airship. Magic is within all living things however not many have the capacity to unleash it or use it.

Geography & Nations

There are 4 major kingdoms in this world. Kalimdor is the western most nation ruled by Tyrande Whisperwind, an elven mage. Kalimdor is home to the World Tree, a massive tree 400 feet tall and as wide as an entire football field that contains a massive amount of Fragment power. It is the beating heart of their nation. The Eastern most kingdom is called The Eastern Kingdoms. This is a land that struggles with one specific power to rule. They instead choose a council from members of the different regions to decide anything political. To the North you have Northrend, it is a hostile land to all but its inhabitants. Their ruler is a man named Arthas Menethil, now known as the Lich King. He is a tyrannical leader and leads with absolute authority. Many choose not to visit unless absolutely necessary. To the South, the last and final kingdom is that of the Vishnu. They are a mostly peaceful continent and are the biggest of them all, roughly the size of Africa. This continent is ruled by Vol'jin, a peaceful troll shaman. Vishnu is a mostly tribal-like place and is home to many of the shunned people of the other continents and kingdoms.

Races & Cultures

Humans are very prevalent throughout the world, and are highly wary of the more animalistic races. They mostly stick to themselves but in recent years welcome in some of the other races that inhabit the world like the elves and the dwarves. Elves are slimmer and taller than the average human. They stand on average at around 6'3 and the especially tall elves around 6'8. They are scholarly and magic focusing people sticking mostly to the beliefs of the old ways. Dwarves are cavefolk who sometimes make appearances for important political decisions. They are shorter and stalkier than humans. Typically never above 5' and weigh on average 220lbs. Trolls are a humanoid race that have tusks that grow from their canine teeth like elephants. They are similar in stature to the elves. Next we have the Tauren. The Tauren are a cow like humanoid race that have horns like bulls but are bipedal. They are similar in size to elves but grow much bigger due to their cow-like nature.

Current Conflicts

The Eastern Kingdoms have tension with Kalimdor due to their alliance with the Northrend leader, Arthas Menethil. They believe by doing so they are starting unneeded tension between each other. Alongside this, Northrend and Kalimdor have started to send patrols to the coasts of the Eastern Kingdoms which they view as provocation. The Vishnu have no part in the three way fight between them, but are wary that the fight may spread and whispers have started to spread in the streets.

Magic & Religion

Magic, also known as Fragment power, is in every living creature and person in the world. Some devices in this world operate by channeling its own fragment power passively with the creatures passive fragment power flow. To use it and wield it however there are two ways in which you can do so. One way is that you have an overabundance of Fragment power and unleashing it is more so forceful rather than controlled. These kinds of users are known for their massive output of fragment power that are more devastating. The other kind of users have honed their fragment power and through training learned to channel their fragment power outwards. These individuals start with lower output but through extensive training can build up their strength with it. Creatures who start with control rather than power typically become stronger than those with great amount due to their time spent learning to control it rather than forcing it out. Most people in this world believe that there is a deity that goes by the name of "Garuda." Garuda is said to the be the "mother" of all Fragment power and is what created the world and the cosmos themselves. Some people believe that science is the cause of the world and this mystery fragment power was merely a byproduct though no one has been able to form a theory as to its existence.
