World Overview

The Earth as you know it is gone, it has been 20 long years. The dead reanimate after death into flesh-eating zombies, called roamers. All major government systems have shut down, we are on our own. All power grids have long but shut down as well. There is no magic in this world, but a select few have found themselves immune., but keep it hidden Small encampments, as well as some large communities have tried to start rebuilding, but with scarce resources and the dead always knocking at your door, this is no easy task.

Geography & Nations

You can go anywhere in the world, but a couple major civilizations are places most people know about. While there are many other civilizations and groups, here are a couple key locations: - Alexandria: A close-knit group of survivors that have been through it all. Has taken in many groups and other neighboring civilizations that have fallen. The walls have been up since the beginning, with some touch ups of course. An old neighborhood, its residents bound together and strong. Some notable characters here: Judith Grimes, Duane Jones, Paul Rovia (Jesus) - Commonwealth: A major trading hub and one of the biggest civilizations known about currently. Under the new leadership of Ezekiel Sutton and Mercer, this now bustling city welcomes all with open arms. High, strong walls and secured trade routes make Commonwealth a formidable fortress against the dead, but what evils may still lurk inside? - Woodbury: A group that has gone through many changes since the start. Another town that has put up walls, just strong enough to stave off the roamers, but not the living. Not many know about community, or want to communicate with them at least, their dark past has left them tainted, but they want to do better. Their leader Lilly Caul has put her life on the line many times for her people, and she will continue to do so. - Red Rock: A community based in mountain living and staying away from any major cities. All mostly migrants from larger cities that have banded together, few have ventured off the path to stumble upon them. While physically, away from everyone, they are known for wide broadcasting of the nation, if you are lucky enough to hear it. Some notable characters here: Calvin Ross and Lolita Romez

Races & Cultures

Only humans and roamers. Roamers are brainless, dead, flesh-eating reanimations of those who have passed, once they have died. Roamers do not exist inside safe communities unless they break in or someone dies and is not killed by impact to the brain.

Current Conflicts

While there are minor conflicts (sometimes major) within the living for supplies, the main fight and threat is against the dead.

Magic & Religion

There is no magic in this world. Some groups have religious beliefs that follow with the dead rising at the end of the world. No god influences the world, but every characters view on religion may impact how they view the end of the world.

Planar Influences

There are no other planes or realities that will impact this world. They are non existent, this is the only one that exists.

Historical Ages

All normal earth historical events have occurred

Economy & Trade

Survivors barter with goods and services, not money anymore, unless you live in larger civilization, such as the commonwealth. Trade routes exist between communities.

Law & Society

People take justice into their own hands, but focus on morals while they make decisions. If living in larger community, justice is served as it was in the old world, right to a fair trial, such as the commonwealth. Adventures are mainly supply runs or communicating with another civilization for people living in a town already.

Monsters & Villains

Roamers walk the earth, eating human flesh. Some groups or people can be hostile.
