In the eternal night of Dretvin, the once-glorious kingdom of Eldervin stands as a citadel of steel and willflame automatons, its grand walls a testament to a vanished sun and a king now lost to darkness. Amid civil war, hunted Kindlers, and the relentless Silver Order, the world burns on a fragile flame of hope, where every spark of everflame, lunarflame, or willflame could either restore light or plunge the land deeper into madness.

World Overview

After the Eternal King of Lymdarfis, Lord of the Everflame and the Sun, Sarvin, went missing, so did the Sun that gave the kingdom light. Darkness consumed, and madness rotted the lands of Dretvin. The Throne of Lymdarfis, Herald of the Cosmic Flame lays empty. And so, the Kindler, who the Eternal King sealed many centuries ago during the Emberward March for having affinity to the Willflame and Everflame inside the Forlorn Mausoleums, now wake up to claim the throne for themselves. Hence, everyone from the lands hunt them as their very existence is blasphemy. Technology in the world is Medieval, and the world has low magic. All magic is derived from flames, the four primary ones to be exact- everflame (constantly burning, never doused flame), willflame (fire that resurrects and increases strength each death), lunarflame (flame that creates illusions and drowsiness) and the cosmic flame (flame that birthed the universe).

Geography & Nations

The lands of Dretvin was ruled by the Kingdom of Eldervin, with their capital city of Eldervin (also called City of Silver) being the only way into the Everburn Peninsula. Eldervin is protected by giant, 500m tall walls, which are also protected by giant 20m tall willflame powered automatons known as the Great Bastions that also fight off dragons. The Everburn Peninsula are scarlet lands, where everflame burns naturally, and blasphemous Pilgrims of The Everflame go to for their sacred rituals. The Everflame Giants and Dragons used to roam this land, worshipping the everflame and the cosmic flame, before Sarvin almost wiped them out during the Emberward March. Here also lies the mysterious, eternal kingdom of Lymdarfis, where the heavily guarded Throne of the Cosmic Flame, or the Throne of Lymdarfis lies, once sat on by Sarvin. The lands before Everburn and Eldervin are the vast Lucar Plains. There lies the Twin Lakes of Ordshia, where the Fraya Lucar College of Sorcery resides, practicing the blasphemous lunar flame sorcery. The sorcerers are unwelcoming of all visitors. In the Fell City of Shagoth'il, lies the Forlorn Mausoleums, where newly awakened Kindlers rise from their prisons. There are more locations, all resembling European geography.

Races & Cultures

Humans dominate the lands of Dretvin. The lands are isolated, and the only culture that really exists is Dretvinian culture. They have a Germanic/Nordic like culture, and worship the Eternal King, Sarvin. They are xenophobic, and have a lot of prejudices and discriminatory practices. However, there once existed the Everburn Giants and Dragons, who worshipped nature, and the everflame and cosmic flame. Their culture was chaotic, but serene and peaceful.

Current Conflicts

In the capital city of Eldervin, a civil war has broken out between all noble families. There is religious tension and purging of other religion done by the Silver Order, who also hunt down the Kindler who have awoken. Due to eternal darkness, the Sorcerers from the Fraya Lucar College of Sorcery provide some semblance of light using a form of lunar flame sorcery known as twilight flame. They too are being hunted by the Silver Order. Darkblight takes over the lands too, as inhabitant's willflame is tainted by the darkness.

Magic & Religion

Magic is based on four flames- everflame (eternally burning fire), lunarflame (flame that creates illusions and drowsiness), willflame (flame that ressurects and gives strength), and cosmic flame (flame that birthed the universe). Lunarflame sorcerers cast mostly healing/illusionary magic, while everflame sorcerers cast offensive or destructive magic. Those with affinity to willflame can come back from death, accumulate strength each death, and gain enough power to rival a demi-god. The Eternal Queen, Lady of The Lunarflame, Lunizka, Consort of Sarvin, lays in grief (unknown what she's grieving) in her chambers in Fraya Lucar College of Sorcery. She is the Goddess of the Moon, and Strategic War. She has beautiful, silver hair and eyes. The Eternal King, Lord of the Everflame and the Sun, Sarvin, is missing. He was muscular, and wore a gold plated, "lion's armor". He had luscious golden hairs and eyes. He was known as intense and commanding, but underneath the stoicism lied paranoia. The gender neutral deity, dread Tessivah (whose real name, Tessiah, cannot be spoken by a mortal, or else GREAT misfortune befalls), Shadow Harbinger, grows stronger in the darkness, though they are actually passive and kind, the sudden surge in power has driven them insane. Syvlina, Goddess of Nature and Vengeance, daughter of Sarvin and Lunizka, lays vengeful, broken, enraged and diseased by the eternal darkness and human greed and apathy towards nature. Omnissi, Lord of Light and "Honor", son of Sarvin and Lunizka, lays in a deathly state, as he tries to fulfill his duties as the commander of the Silver Order. The Silver Order, the main religion and crusader organization, worships Sarvin, but above Sarvin is the God of Order and Silver, Grand Beyond. The Grand Beyond is ancient and eldritch, said to have created the humans, believed to have created everything. It has ulterior motives no one knows about, and no one is made aware of. It was the one who ascended Sarvin to godhood. It is seen as benevolent, but no one knows if it truly is. The Cosmic Flame, on the other hand, is also a deity. It is the God of Chaos, and was once worshipped by the giants and dragons. It is more ancient and eldritch than the Grand Beyond. No one knows its motives either, and it is currently subdued from influencing Dretvin because of something in Lymdarfis. The God Long Forgotten, is a God lost to the test of times. It has no known records or worshipers, just whispers of existence. Its only mark is the walls of Eldervin and the Great Bastions it helped build. Many of Sarvin's kin are demi-gods.

Planar Influences

The Ones Above, Eldritch Gods of Ancient times, interact and influence the universe. They are incomprehensible, and many are unknown. However, in Dretvin, the Grand Beyond and the Cosmic Flame control.

Historical Ages

These are the eras in chronological order- 1) Genesis Era- Many, many, many centuries ago, something, or someone, created the universe. It is believed to be the Grand Beyond, but that may just be the Silver Order's propaganda. 2) The Great Arrving- Dretvin was a barren land without any inhabitants, until the humans arrived, apparently guided by the Grand Beyond to inhabit the lands from a land afar, whose records are also lost to time. 3) Rise of The Eternal King- The noble knight and renowned warrior, known as Sarvin, arises as king and leads the colonisation effort. 4) Emberward March- Promised stability, prosperity and godhood by the Grand Beyond, Sarvin took his army of everflame knights, warriors and sorcerers and marched to the Everburn Peninsula, where he purged, killed and nearly wiped out the giants and dragons. Here, Lymdarfis was found and Sarvin and many of his kin rose to Godhood and demi-Godhood. Here, he also sealed the Kindlers, those with affinity to the willflame, as they threated his absolute power. 5) The Silver Era- the stable, prosperous age of Dretvin. Eldervin thrived, and Sarvin ruled with an iron fist, which granted stability and wealth for all (except those deemed blasphemous or undesired). 6) Eternal Darkness- However, suddenly, Sarvin goes missing, and so does the Sun. The world is now shrouded in eternal night, and chaos and uncertainty, hopelessness and misery, pestilence and violence spreads.

Economy & Trade

All economy and trade have fallen, and all are starving and desperate. However, the kingdom of Eldervin thrived on trading of iron and agricultural goods such as wheat to a far off land, whose records have been lost to time. It was known as the "Lands of Wind and Rain".

Law & Society

Justice is now fully administered by the Silver Order. Any deemed blasphemous, deviant, sodomite, or undesired will be lynched, tortured, imprisoned, starved or the worst of all, Sarved. Sarving, or being sarved, is injecting willflame into someone with no affinity to it using needles to horribly disfigure them, make them undead, and grotesque. Those with affinity to willflame and are sarved are just made to continuously live through endless torture.
