In Faleydon, a crumbling medieval realm where magic intertwines with everyday life, a new heir ascends the throne amid whispers of assassination and a looming war that threatens every border. Diverse peoples—from nomadic elves and raiding orc tribes to demonic Alquina and mercenary fae—navigate a world where silent gods fuel corruption, and the fate of the kingdom hangs in the balance of broken bridges and desperate hope.

World Overview

A medieval fantasy realm with magic, different races, gods, guilds, and academies for learning. Technology is supplemented through magic, making it part of everyday life.

Geography & Nations

Faleydon is the capital of the kingdom, with duchies and provinces littered throughout. Some prosperous and some not. Political corruption has a major impact on infrastructure, with failing bridges, run down keeps, and barren farmland in many regions.

Races & Cultures

Humans are the majority and most varied, with the King of Faleydon being human himself. There are also Elves, whom are largely nomadic but do have a kingdom of their own to the south of Faleydon, called Thiandril. They tend to focus on their own people and don’t mettle in the affairs of other races often, preferring peace and solidarity. There are Orcs in the northern lands, no king but many tribes. The orcs have a heavy raiding culture, not discriminating on whom they pillage, they largely don’t have heavy politics outside of their own clans and neighbors. To the west is a barren wasteland filled with a demonic race called Alquina that is neutral, however due to their demonic appearance they tend to be targeted and outcast from most societies. They have learned to live and survive in the harsh desert climate and resemble humans with tails and horns or animal features, lots of variation. Lastly to the east is a race of Fae, many different types of them ranging from tiny fairies to tree like Nymphs. They are typically political and militaristic, often lending their aid as paid mercenaries to other countries.

Current Conflicts

The king has died and his Heir has taken over. His heir is his brother, whom is rumored to actually be the one to assassinate the former king. Political unrest, religious corruption, silent gods, and wars looming on the edge of all borders are causing civil unrest and lost hope.

Magic & Religion

Magic can be used by people who are naturally gifted in it. Some will have affinities to certain types like water, earth, light, healing, death, soul, gravity, and fire and others will have magic taught to them by others, although not as potent as the magic someone is born with. There are supposedly gods in this world, however they are mysterious and largely silent and impassive, leading to much exploitation and corruption through religion.
