Gihenna is a war‑torn, high‑magic steampunk world where colossal citadels rise from a 700‑mile crater, and the clash between the iron‑clad Holy Human Authority, the law‑bound necromancer kingdom of Ordach, and the enigmatic, Lulillium‑powered Mage‑Kin shapes every breath. Amidst swamps, deserts, and sky‑dragons, sentient machines, skeletal golems, and mutated folk vie for power, while the restless spirits of reliquery whisper promises of fortune or doom to those daring enough to heed their call.

World Overview

A place of war and fortune, will you please the gods? or will you find yourself at the heel of a metal machine. It is a high magic setting with steampunk machinery

Geography & Nations

The main stage is a Massive craiter on the surface of a barren planet tha life has appeared in. this craiter is around a 700 mile radius circle with steep flat walls. there are 4 main continents. The swamplands, a soggy swampy area, it is the second largest continent. There is a sandy desert continent it is the smallest, there is a grassy plains continent it is the largest and the second smallest is a massing clump of islands that on their own are all tiny but together form a massive patch of space There are three important regeons. Ordach, kingdom of his lord necromancer. Sandhaven, roost of Harlow and finally the HHA (Holy human authority) The lord necromancer is a man of law and his kingdom spans almost the entirety of the swamplands but he often buts heads with the Communion a group of self governed Druidic people who also livein the swamp. They have never faught but its gotten close. Sandhaven often acts as a nutral party they take cominion over the desert continent and through pure technicality they own the entire continent (because no one else wants to stake a real claim) The HHA has been for a long time up untill recently at war with everyone for religious reasons, they hold an iron grip over the grasland continent

Races & Cultures

26: there are a plethora Human: Human are your bog standard human people they were the first creation of Caracraw when he planted the seeds of this world and thus often belive themselves supirior. In fact the HHA is almost entirly human based with a few other species serving as servants or even slaves. They mostly inhabit the plains. They are industrial and smart using machinery and steam to usilise Lulillium seeing as they have next to no aptitude for magic Mage-Kin: The mage kin are a very secritive race living primarily in the sandy plains of the desert continent. They live in secluded underground enclaves where they teach and live. Once a mage-kin comes of age (20) they must go on a year long pilgramige around the world to learn and bring back knowlage. Many enclaves are different from eachother, practicing different idologies and theologies. also they can naturally use magic due to an organ next to their heart wich produces lulillium Sylvan: The sylvan are elf like beings with tall and slender bodies, all over them they have extremely fine silver scaoles that react to wind and pressure allowing them as little air risistance as possible. They live their lives on caravans on giant sky dragons. Some clans are so large their sky dragon holds an entire villiage. They are a very nomadic culture with different clans often warring for trade. Their people when not part of a clan are often forced into servile roles in the HHA Troich: Squatter sturdier folk that make their living underground in massive Ant like colonies and tunnel systems, unlike the Mage-kin enclaves Troich kingdoms are often singular and massive though untill recently (100 years or so) they were entirly enslaved by the HHA and Sandhaven, used as manual labor and smiths. their talent for metalworking and stonework was immense Skeletals: Carved from worldstone by other skeletals they are as close to a golem as exists in the craiter. No one knows where the first came from but they do not age and they do not (truly) die, a skeletal can only pass on in the cycle if it is burnt down in a Kilner forge, where its molten body is used to craft a new skeletal for a new soul to inhabit. skeletals who decide they wish to reer a child will often undergo 10s of years crafting the perfect body before etching in the mana vains for Lulillium to fill and animate the body ready to take a soul from the cycle. They dont have a kingdom f their own often wandering rom palce to place but they maintain an ancestral homeland in the shattered isles Skeletons: Skeletons are just that, skeletons. They are corpses that werent disposed of correctly and thus were never alloed to return to the cycle so their souls are trapped in the corpse. they are able to articulate words but not facial expressions or true meaning. They have no culture or kingdom of their own and are often anihilated straight away if in the HHA or sandhaven Cogwrites: a race of mechanical being created in the HHA up untill barely 50 years ago they were a fully subserviant race untill they started developing emotions and feelings. Though they contain no soul they have been recognised as living creatures. Most Cogwrites take on the cyulture of the HHA, a human centric view of the world though some strike out to see the world Mutants: Mutants are people from any race that have been touched by reliquery. each one has a different mutation and it ranges from as simple as an extra thumb to wings and extra limbs and insect eyes, they have no true culture of their own simply living wherever they can without being prosicuted Beastmen: Some mutants obain incredebly stable mutations, such as fur cat ears and claws or other animalistic traits, these stable mutations are able to be passed down to their children. They inhabit the shattered isles. they have a very interconnected culture based around many many small villiages each assisting and working with one another all having different representetives. Of course they are respectful of the Skeletals who call the shattered isles an ancestral home/holy land

Current Conflicts

The world is in an armstance, it is incredebly fragile however. and skirmishes often still come about

Magic & Religion

Magic comes from reliquery, a physical god slumbering at the planets core, Radiation from his body leaks out into the planet and seaps into the plants and animals that live there. It is a physical substance that can be collected and used. Lulillium. Lulillium being a physical substance makes it ironically harder to handle, its impossible to collect without special means. A race called the mage-kin have an organ next to teir heart that creates Lulillium and Skeletals are often crafted with mana vains etched into their bones. but other races must either rely on technology or carve mana vains into their own skin cutting deep enough to leave lasting scars that allow for Lulillium to colect and store wherin they can use its mild reality warping effects to cast magic. It doesnt cost anything once you have it, but if a mage-kin uses too much they can die, its basically blood for them and skeletals cannot move without spare Lulillium. The three major gods are not fully corporial save for reliquery but they are very much real and there, i've spoke on them before. caracraw, Malidus and Reliquery. but there are also inumerable minor gods including as small as a god of a well cleaned house to a god of a bloodied battlefield. Its more accurate to call these spirits. they are emotions and wants and fears given form through Lulillium

Planar Influences

There are none

Historical Ages

The world is too young to have true historical ages

Economy & Trade

Krona was invented by Harlow ortuga, a mage-kin. He insisted on it and built his trade empire around it. The rest of the world eventually adopted it as the major currency. Almst all trade goes through him now

Law & Society

It depends on where you are and who you're with. The troich banish you, the sylvans hang you from their wyverns (dead or alive depending on the crime) the lord necromancer has a complex system of law, the HHA too but simpler and sandhaven.... sandhaven has basically no laws

Monsters & Villains

There are many monsters, though they are almost always just a type of fauna, Animals are mutated by lulillium as much as sentient races but its rare that the effects make them more danerous. Some Lulillium spirits are agressive but that's quite rare, the fears (spirits made from major general fears) are often kept in check
