In the war‑scarred highlands of Norvir and Sutfin, a dying magic lingers beneath the soil, its secrets known only to a few and whispered by a rebellious princess who can wield it—while an unseen demonic tide rises, ready to claim the world when the moon peaks on the hundredth anniversary of the conflict.

World Overview

There is a low magic system in this world. It's prevalence is scarce and ever so declining. When performed, it is difficult to control. Only few are able to still understand the language required to cast such spells. Technology level is peak medieval. Kingdoms, townships, mercenary groups, taverns, etc. What sets this world apart is what lies underneath the soil. The Hundred-Year War has blinded the common folk, as well as the Lords and Ladies, that there is a demonic presence growing more and more powerful with each passing day.

Geography & Nations

Kingdom of Norvir: They reside to the north. Smaller than their counterpart to the South, their tenacious nature and rough terrain make them near impossible to conquer. Four cities surround them on all sides: Fobo, Loros, Kubo, and Petros. With the the war nearing it's 100-year mark, King Swik grows anxious. They are losing the war. He believes his only hope is to marry his daughter, Princess Alannia, off to the Kingdom of Sutfin in the South as a way to spare his kingdom, and himself. However, his daughter does not agree with his decision. Kingdom of Sutfin: They take up a majority of the land to the south of Norvir. They are far larger than Norvir in both the size of their territory and army. Their leader, King Tyrus, is ruthless and unforgiving. His son, Prince Yurus, is very much like his father. They only have one goal on their mind: complete dominance. They want to rule not only the land they currently reside on, but of the land across the sea. The Underneath: Far below the soil, an ever growing presence seems to be emerging. It is said that once the moon reaches its highest peak on the night that marks the 100-year war, all the creatures of your worse nightmares will rise from the earth to take over the lands.

Races & Cultures

Humans are the most dominant race in this realm. Peasantry, segregation, gluttony, war, slavery, and freedom are all commonplace. Underground there is a demonic presence beginning to take shape. A force that no one is aware of due to the war going on on the surface.

Current Conflicts

There is an ongoing 100 year war in the land between the Kingdom of Norvir and the Kingdom of Sutfin. Both have established their dominance over the smaller towns that reside next to them. Both kings have grown tired of the bloodshed and wish to marry their children to combine their forces, end the war, and look to expand their territory across the Azulian Sea. Alannia, the princess of Norvir and daughter to King Swik, does not agree with the marriage and will do anything to get out of it. She has a hidden secret that only her mother and her childhood best friend know: she is able to cast magic. With that, she wants to run away, but doesn't know how...
