World Overview

All forms of magic can be inherited or random but these powers are called gifts. not everyone has them but it is believed these gift were bestowed to combat monsters from the wild or a distant land. these monsters are called Felkin. not very technologically advanced because they rely on gifts or magic. You start the adventure in elyndor Prime the capital city of Valecross built of the war against the felkin. Combating the felkin is the number one issue in the country so each city has a youth program to train kids to fight against these monsters once they join The Nullgaurd the army of the country. The army has their own ranks and leader and their own corruptions that will come into way throught out the story.

Valecross the countinent that the story will take on and the elyndor where the story begins. And unknow to the mass public and only know to high-ranking members of the army is the riftlands where the felkin are from and a highly dangers place.

Current Conflicts

The armys highest ranking soilder is called the king him and the king of the Valecross share equal political power. So not only is there corrupt battles for power to get to these two spots but also corruption between the two kings. In past events there's always been over throws, assignations, betrayal, and lies. (In the story I would like for the kind of the Valecross to be jealous of the king of the army for his strenght and political approval and how he has equal power over the country than him.) The king of the country is always past down to blood so it stay in the family while the king of the army can be won in combat, bestowed opon by theirs peers. Some have won for their strength alone, some through their leadership, some through briliance, and of course some through fear. The corruptioin and way of having the crown are the traditions of Valecross

Magic & Religion

Magic is called gifts in this world it work in infinite ways. Someone can only posse one magic attribute. For example ONE element type to control, insane strength, insane speed, energy manipulation. Gifts have been around for a long time for common now around 20% population. even then the limits of the gift is bizzar because they seem to be evolving slowly over time to match the felkin. Some scholars believe that gift was given to mankind as a weapon to combat felkin. And that some gift are stronger than others because there gods first creations of gifts. There are cults worshiping this god and they run into issues with army all the time believing they are pure because they believe the king of the army isnt one of god chosen. They believe God created 8 gifts first as their chosen few to lead the battle against the felkin. It is said he called these warriors the holy knights and they are Lighting, Fire, Darkness, Light, TIme, Space, Plant, Water. They also believe each gift will also doomed to follow this characterist as they are born with the gifts. Lighting (Destruction), Fire (Humans savior), Darkness ( Protector or life), Light (guide), Plant ( healer) Water (Carefree). Time and space are believed to be one person that merge by gods orders thw watch over the world and make sure his plan is going accordingly and only intervein when necessary When the warriors of these gifts awaken to their true strenght they get a mark on their body to symbolizes it. No one believes the cult but one day they will find out they are right

Historical Ages

We are current in the longest era of the world history the Ashen age. But the most popular era is the Origin Ear. The one of when the holy knights were created and gifts were bestowed upon us by god. This ear is talked about as fantasy or story for children to give up and for the cult but unknow the stories are true

Economy & Trade

The currencies are called Aurels. They are used in salaries, trade, and taxes. The slang form is Gold aurel or Bright. It is used across the country. It comes in forms or a 1 value, a 5 value, and a 10 value or also called a Crown Aurel

Law & Society

Justice is administered by some solders from the army that are stationed there that aren't fit to felkins or don't have gifts or weaker ones. Criminals get prosecutor by judges or in extreme case by the king of Valcross leading in to life sentences or banishment from the country or even rarer to get banished to the country of the felkin which is not to know by the public and it would be a national kept secret. Society loves adventure. They believe joining the army and fighting the felkin is a honor only few can have but also they know the life exctensy is low on the soilders

Monsters & Villains

The face value monster is the felkin. Viciousness and powerful beast. it would be foolises to take one on with out a gift and by your self or with no training. A cult in the way of their army because they believe the king of the army isnt fit to lead but would not hurt anyone and just want to let everyone know the truth. The king of valcross willing to do anything to prove he deserves full control of valcross. Erien the Holy knight of time and space not evil in any regards (actually a kind soul. He wants to protect the holy knights while they try to reach their full potentials.) but his job is to make sure gods plans is followed and will stop anyone from getting in the way
