In the sun‑bleached plains of Edoria, low elves toil as the kingdom’s unseen backbone while high elves and humans conspire to keep them in subservience, all under the looming threat of demon incursions that seep through rifted portals from the Nine Hells. Amidst this turmoil, a fragile alliance of adventurers, dragon‑riding relics, and sea‑titan worshipers must navigate treacherous politics and planar horrors to protect a world where magic both heals and corrupts, and every shadow hides a potential ally or assassin.

World Overview

This is a higher magic fantasy setting. The technology level should be 15th century with no firearms. Magical items have delayed te h advancement to some extent. In this world setting there are typical high elven races with a high affinity for arcane magic. Then "low elves" which are denoted by having silver hair and more of a sorcerous innate affinity for magic and are treated as second class citizens by most high elves and third class citizens by most humans.

Geography & Nations

There are the major kingdoms of Edoria which is human controled. It is primarily in an area of grasslands along the southern coast north of high sea elf peninsulas with ancient old growth forest to the north. Absalom is the Dwarven empire to the northeast in the high mountains, an exclusively human kingdom of Salhaudin lies in a massive desert to the far east and is ruled by a god king who is a demon princes avatar.

Races & Cultures

Humans are widespread. In edoria its widely mixed. Nobility, lawmen, and those above a peasant class treat low elves as third class citizens, high elves treat low elves as second class citizens, halflings, beastfolk, dwarves, and various other races are all ambivalent in the kingdom of edoria. There are also demons and demonkin which enter through holes to the 9 hells and they wage war on all races of the material plane.

Current Conflicts

As for the setting. We will be in the kingdom of Edoria. The human empire invasion of the common/lesser elves is complete and lesser elves are now "integrated" into society and customs. Most are treated as third class citizens and generally treated harshly by the general population and royalty. Most elves work in hard labor jobs, field work, mining, or prostitution.A lucky few manage to get domestic service jobs such as Fay. Fay was a young childhood friend of mine whom I have been in love with since I met her at 4 years old who became employed by a middle tier noble family to maintain watch over the lords two children as a nanny elf. After several months the lord had began an affair with her under the pretenses of providing a better life for her. There are demon incursions from the farm north and east against all northern borders and in the wildlands.

Magic & Religion

Magic works similar to regular D&D with arcane and divine magic. Blood, and soul magic are especially powerful. There is a pantheon of 19 deities and 5 titans. My characters goddess will be the titaness of the sea.

Planar Influences

They open portlals and people and monsters traverse the Planes

Historical Ages

There are major ruins of every civilization and edoria sits atop the ruins of the previous empire which thrived on a noble class of dragon riders. Some riders of small dragons remain.

Economy & Trade

Trade routes sprawl the continent with all major resources being traded based on terrain and intent to fight the demon hordes.

Law & Society

Society generally welcomes adventurers. Justice is up to each kingdom and heavily affected by race, class, and title.

Monsters & Villains

Hordes of demons move in the desert and attack from the north. Devil's make deals in the shadows to help the races fight against demons while furthering their own agendas similar to angels. There are also cults to moloch the demon prince and issues with racism
