In the scorching, wind-swept deserts of Lonestar, the tyrannical Owner towers over the capital Fork, relentlessly fusing magic and technology to expand his dominion while crushing dissent with a merciless hand. Amidst a society where every race is defined by its craft—welders, inspectors, bankers—adventurers wielding raw magic and steel must navigate a perilous economy, looming planar portals, and a populace of parasitic monsters who drain hope for coin.

World Overview

Lonestar is a world in turmoil. The world is ruled over by "The Owner". He is always experimenting and trying new things with magic and technology and trying to combine the 2. He wants to own the whole world and isn't afraid to spend millions to do it.

Geography & Nations

The capitol city of Lonestar is called Fork. Fork is in a deserty region of the mountains. Spring and Ville are down in the valleys and Ton is up higher in the mountain. The Owner lives in the highest part of Ton. There are windmills on the border of Ton and Fork. Most of the industry around is in Fork.

Races & Cultures

The main races have to do with a person's job. There are Welders, Installers, Inspectors, Managers, Drafters and Bankers. They do what their name is. Some whisper that the owner is just a manager mixed with a banker, but the owner kills those who speak of him and his past life.

Current Conflicts

Right now the owner is selling his biggest shop to be able to afford a bigger shop. Everyone is very worried that they may not be allowed to continue practicing magic at the shop. Also most people can't afford a home of their own and are renting small rooms from the Owner to live in.

Magic & Religion

Magic can be learned by anyone. Most people have at least seen or heard of someone using magic. The highest magicians are certified welders.

Planar Influences

There are other planes that can interact with this world. There is a celestial plane that everyone wants to get to and a hell plane that some people wouldn't mind going to because it doesn't seem that bad.

Historical Ages

The Corn Epoc was before. It was a time of plenty and beauty. Then the Owner came and bought what he wanted. Some still speak of the time of the Corn

Economy & Trade

We use Dollars. One dollar is worth 1/20 of an hour of a low level welder's time.

Law & Society

Adventurers such as welders and installers are viewed well and sometimes as essential. Others such as drafters and bankers are scorned even though they believe themselves to be more essential than the rest.

Monsters & Villains

Most of the monsters in the world are customers and contractors who want something from the magicians and welders. They are like vampires that suck the life out of everyone they come in contact with and leave dollars in their place. There are also dicgruntled employees that are just there to waste your time.
