In the war-torn continent of Midgard, the crumbling kingdom of Le Guarde struggles against industrial Ocea, a devout Order of Truth, and a fracturing Slavic realm, all while the desert tribes of the south trade only in goods and keep a wary eye on the north. Amidst political intrigue, bandit raids, and the looming threat of the ancient Pale Horse cult, rare magic can only be summoned by holy priests whose faith fuels the fragile hope of a world teetering between faith and steel.

World Overview

Gritty and realistic. This world is unlike the real world during the 100 years war between England and France though the countries are different names. Crossbows are the new fad. But magic exists though rare. Magic takes heavy faith to produce and can only be conjured by adorned priests and saints.

Geography & Nations

Huge continent our story is on the western coast of the continent with an ocean to the north and the west in the territories of Le Guarde. Le Guarde is at war with the huge industrial island country to the north called Ocea. Highways span Le Guarde mostly controlled by the holy kingdom of the east called the Order of Truth. To its far east is the Slavic kingdom of Bulgrosia. And to the far south the sand empire of the eastern tribes. Le guarde territories are the capitol known as lumíere The city of the west 6 castles 30 towns And 7 cities And 2 ports Ocea has 5 ports One capitol known as central hope 5 castles 20 towns 5 cities The Order of Truth has a capitol known as Last Order 3 castles 2 cities 11 towns Bulgrosia has 2 capitals west capitol and east capitol 6 castles mostly along the border 4 cities 40 towns 1 port The southern tribes have one capitol they all meet called Tumbàc the rest of their land are made up of sand vilages and few cities with scarce castles They have 3 major ports and one island castle

Races & Cultures

Everyone is human with the exception of saints who ate holy humans it is known angelic beings exist but are never seen Le Guarde is very European resembling medieval France Ocea is industrial resembling the medieval English The order of truth are devout and hold the most saints, they resemble a Germanic medieval order Bulgrosia resembles a Slavic cold culture who are racist but hold the second highest number of saints The southern tribes are an Arabic desert culture

Current Conflicts

Le Guarde has had multiple kings come and go, there is much political infighting over what families own what and who deserves the crown. They have been at constant war with Ocea who has launched several successful attacks against the le guardian coast and has a foothold on the northern shores. Le Guarde has also grown very weary of the order who believes le gaurde cannot protect their faithful on the highways and the order has taken it upon themselves to safeguard the peasantry. Le guarde is known to harrass the knights of the order Ocea hates le guarde and has no intentions of making peace after their successes. They want more land and are willing to slaughter the peasantry. Bandits have run rampint in the countryside of le guarde. Bulrgosia hates other nations and tends to keep to themselves in the midst of a civil war. They hate outsiders. The southern tribes are decentralized some tribes hate the north and will slaughter at will while others chose a more righteous path.

Magic & Religion

Old saints exist from all cultures no matter how they practice their religions. Truth is the prevailing religion in the north and takes much prayer and good will to summon magic. Only thr most devout and holliest will become priest and saints that can conjure magic. The souther tribes worship the veil which has different practices but arrives at the same conclusion.
