World Overview

This is set in modern society where people still travel via cars, train, planes and spend time on their phones scrolling social media. But magic is real, people can cast spells, brew potions, create scrolls and all electronics and vehicles are powered by various forms of arcane engines and batteries. Some people like to live normally and don't delve deeper into the arcane just letting it be a useful tool. Others become witches and wizards devotee their live to studying, perfecting, improving it. While this does cause issues sometimes the odd supernatural horror escaping ghost, demons, angels. So most governments responded with organizations to regulate magic one such group is the Bureau of Magic Affairs, who are in charge of magical crime, in both prevention and emergency action. So if you summon and evil demon they arrest you and either capture or exorcise the demon.

Humans are common and almost everywhere. Elves tend to keep to themselves but you can seem them can be seen around. Dwarfs don't like the elves but the create excellent technology. Half demons are those who family have mixed with demons but have become more normal members of society. there are various other races and cultures that on would normally find in a fantasy setting as well

Magic is both the live blood of the world and also the basis of all technological developments anyone can learn to channel the magic, whether by tapping into the natural pool of magic, or trying to channel it from divinty both have their advantages and disadvantageous depending on who you are.
