World Overview

High magic, Medieval fantasy with cultivation elements. Gods bestow power throw faith and the ever present Arcane fuels magic for the adept in its craft. A world of prophesies and heroes in a ever changing world filled with monsters and terrors beyond comprehension.

Geography & Nations

The largest nation in the center of everything is the Kingdom of Avarice. Everyone who is someone has some sort of tie to the kingdom of Avarice, as it is home to tens of thousands of people, and the most developed citadel in the world of Nephilim. Outside the walls of Avarice lay harrowing forests, terrible desserts, freezing tundra, dire mountain passes and mysterious oceans. There are plenty of smaller nations of varying races and cultures spread throughout these lands as well.

Races & Cultures

All Races of D&D 5E are present, as well as a few extra.

Current Conflicts

The kingdom of Avarice is constantly trying to expand its reach across more of the world, to make a more safe world for all that find themselves apart of its empire. It faces constant threat, ranging from the mundane to the cataclysmic. Sometimes, even other civilizations threaten or are hostile to the kingdom.

Magic & Religion

Magic can be sourced to two different outlets. The first is the Arcane, a magical force that helps make up all of creation. This ranges from elemental magic to the very foundations upon the world is built like space and time. This is by far the most diverse category of powers. One's ability to manipulate the Arcana is a balance between talent and knowledge. The second outlet is through Faith in a deity. A Deity can bestow a mortal being with power related to their own authority. For example, the Deity of Light could bestow its champion with the power of light based smites, the power to cast searing white flames, healing blessing etc. The potency of ones power is cultivated over time and grows depending on the individual.

Planar Influences

Other planes such as the Burning Hells or High Heavens cam interact with the mortal realm, however it takes tremendous effort and usually through thoughtful schemes and planning.

Historical Ages

"The Age of Heroes" was a golden age for the mortals of Nephilim. Powerful mortals helped make great strides and protected its lands, allowing prosperity and growth. The Hero of Legend, whose name has been lost to time, struck down a great evil and lost his life to accomplish his deed. Soon after, the great heroes of this age fell, one after another, leaving behind their legacies and their people. In the modern age, not many know the true extent of these legendary heroes powers or influence, yet the clues remain for those brave enough to seek the truth.

Economy & Trade

The currency follows D&D 5e standards with Platinum, Gold, Silver and Copper pieces.
