In Cinnefeld, the only path to true power is to climb the demon-spawned dungeon towers—each a vast, themed labyrinth of 20–100 floors—where a single wish at the summit can forge kingdoms or shatter them. As a new tower rises by the tundra port of Goldennest, a cursed chest meant to tip the balance washes up on the neutral Isle of Liminglow, igniting a race between rival monarchs, desert warlords, and desperate adventurers who will learn too late that the “genie” granting their heart’s desire is actually a soul-hungry demon lord watching the world burn for sport.

World Overview

High magic however strong Magic is only accessible through wishes and magical items. Tech level is medieval era. The gods create large dungeon towers which is the only way to obtain magical items. If you make it to the top of the tower you can have 1 wish from the genie at the top. These Dungeon towers are much larger on the inside and each floor has a special theme, they range from 20 - 100 floors. Most kingdom's were created by people who cleared a tower and made a wish. Each tower is filled with monsters and puzzles. Each floor has a specific environment, examples: Dungeon crawl, forrests, deserts, Snow covered lands, peaceful lake with something twisted beneath it. Every 10 floors a boss waits. Once you enter the tower you can only leave after defeating a boss. This gives you the chance to resupply and continue conquering the tower. Only those who have beaten a boss can use the teleportation runes to go back inside and continue where they left off.

Geography & Nations

2 Major continents and 1 small island, The first continent has a snowy tundra on the south side, a forest in the middle and a Savanna on the north side. The kingdom of elvenborough controls the forest Kingdom of Everkirk controls the tundra Kingdom of Ulsterrun controls the Savannas which is home to many different races and people The Isle of Liminglow is in a bay located between the Savanna and tundra biomes in the ocean that seperates them. Its got a few small towns and is mainly used as a port to stop in when traveling between the north and south. All countries on this continent have trade routes between themselves and ulsterrun is the only city that trades with vulcanbluff, mainly for gemstones from vulcanbluff for food and resources needed to keep vulcanbluff running The second continent called Kareth is on the far east side separated by a great ocean. It has many rulers that often fight amongst themselves over resources and land. This continent is a desert biome and is much smaller than the main continent. They have 3 large lakes on the continent and that is their only source of fresh water. They also have their own towers however many of them are unconquered due to in fighting and not being able to work together to take down a tower. 4 main cities/forts highburn keep to the west, mirador fortress to the north, vulcanbluff to the east, and dragonspire castle to the south Vulcanbluff is the only city that welcomes travelers and commerce, its the only neutral faction on the continent.

Races & Cultures

Elvenborough ruled by elves and is a Monarchy Everkirk ruled by dwarves and is a Monarchy Ulsterrun ruled by humanoids, all races are welcome here and they believe in democracy between all races Second continent The people that rule here are lizard folk operating out of dragonspire castle, Orcs who rule mirador fortress, Tieflings who rule vulcanbluff, and Gnolls who rule highburn keep. Each race has their own beliefs on gods and religion, but 1 key thing never changes, the gods put the towers here as trials for us.

Current Conflicts

A new tower has risen just outside of goldennest, a smaller town on the coast of the tundra. One of the chairmen from ulsterrun wants his own shot at the tower before everkirk can claim it, hoping he could create his own kingdom. He tries to have a chest delivered to goldennest which contains a cursed object. When touched it would summon a kraken who will destroy everything in its path to get to the object. However the ship carrying that chest will crash and the people will wash ashore at isle of liminglow. This could be a quest given to the players. There is also another tower in the elven kingdom next to a small town called rivendale, however the elves are very guarded around their borders and have already staked claim on this tower. The 4 main cities on the smaller continent are always at war for land and resources. Vulcanbluff has an alliance with dragonspire castle however its not the strongest alliance these days due to a tower rising right next to vulcanbluff.

Magic & Religion

Some people are born with small amounts of magic, Any elf related race gets a bit more than the others. However strong spells are only able to be conjured by magical items or those who have made a wish after completing a tower. Only common spells are known outside of that, such as create water, create light, mage hand, mending, etc. Anything that could create large amounts of damage and destruction or change people is only obtained through enchanted items found in the towers. No one is sure which gods rule over this world, but they know someone does. In reality its demon lords who control everything, they raise towers to create conflict that they can enjoy and profit from. they love to see how each country reacts to new stimuli. They create contracts with desperate people for their souls. This world is their own cattle farm. But no one is aware of this unless they clear a tower. The person that grants their wish, is a demon, not a genie.

Planar Influences

Demonic plane exists similar to hell, if you die after making a deal with a demon/devil your soul will be forever trapped here. However if you die without making a deal, you are reborn as another person/animal loosing most / all your memories of your past life. This creates a sense of Déjà vu on occasion. All demons/devils come from the demonic plane, and use this planet as their feeding grounds.

Historical Ages

Their once was a large kingdom that ruled over the larger continent, however after feeling cheated because the king took all the spoils from every tower, the people revolted. The next tower they conquered they made a wish before the king could get there, that wish and the loot they gained from the tower evenly divided the continent into three kingdoms. The secondary continent was ruled by monsters and demons, and when the orcs tieflings and lizard folk got pushed out of the continent by the old king they were forced to live here. in a baren waste land with no resources and monsters eating and killing people. They have a deep anger and hatred for the people who live on the main continent. and often try to incite violence and disasters on the larger continent.

Economy & Trade

Gold is used as currency, which is mined by the dwarves making them the richest. However Elves still often use the barter system as they didnt want to rely on the dwarves. They will accept gold coins, but prefer trades of work/items. There is deep trade routes between ulsterrun elvenborough and everkirk via water and caravans. There is a new trade route between ulsterrun and Vulcanbluff which is quite fragile. This is where the chairmen got the cursed object from.

Law & Society

In the smaller continent they often use fighting pits to deal with law breakers. As this brings money into the cities and raises moral in such a deeply sad place. On the larger continent prison sentences will be handed out and death penalties are common. In ulsterrun public hanging is common. In elvenborough they prefer true polymorph using a device they obtained from a tower. This forces a person to become an animal of the elves choosing permanently. The dwarves that live in the kingdom of everkirk prefer worker camps, forcing wrong doers to work long days in the mines without rest till they die or serve their sentence. If a person can find a rare mineral or a special item they may be given freedom and a small amount of gold to get started. Adventurers are small and few between these days. Most countries prefer to go into towers with large armies and hope for the best, rather than smaller groups of skilled individuals. Adventurers are often asked to deliver goods, clear out small groups of monsters or bandits etc. Mainly just dirty work the armies dont want to handle or jobs smaller towns cant pay the military to handle. There is 1 adventure guild in each major city. Adventurers are seen as problematic people on the smaller continent. Usually adventurers come from the mainland so they are seen as rude disgusting people, who should be avoided.

Monsters & Villains

Demons and devils run rampant, but they are smart, making deals with people promising power just to obtain their souls. On The smaller continent death worms and other sand / desert related monsters rule the open lands wreaking havoc among the kingdoms. All monsters here are high leveled and very dangerous. On the smaller continent theres bands of thugs, demonic worshipping cults, and underground terrorist organizations from the smaller continent that want to turn each kingdom against each other. Theres also groups on both continents that try to sneak into towers to clear them by themselves, however this is a punishable offence in most countries as they want to keep the towers to themselves. In ulsterrun a tower is open to the public for the first 2 weeks before the military moves in to clear it. There is also dragons who often like to live at the tops of towers terrorizing the people nearby till the tower is cleared.
