In Terra Arcana, dragons once ruled the skies and shattered the world, leaving behind a land where magic hums through every stone and steel forged from dragon bone glints in the sun; the Drakoria Kingdom, bound by honor and dragon‑kin titles, defends its realm against the eternal fire of Embervale and the looming threat of the Grand Floating Necropolis. Amidst this chaos, the Painted Mask watches from the shadows, while dwarven Warforged and sky‑borne elven ports weave steam‑punk marvels, and every city towers with a portal to the god’s hidden realm, inviting mortals to glimpse the divine and the damned alike.

Most of this was explained in the Geography and Nations part, feel free to expand on that.

Magic & Religion

Planar Influences

The Fey world has its portals and many magic users summon being from it, common place, same with the Hells and demons. Each lesser god has their own small place of magic, but nothing grand. The only being that has control over them all is the Painted Mask.

Historical Ages

The First Shattering (Age of Dawn) The earliest war between dragons and mortals. Mountains cracked, seas boiled, and the first kingdoms fell. Legends say this was when mortals first learned to forge weapons from dragon bone The War of Broken Wings (Age of Kings) Mortals rose in defiance, slaying countless wyrms. Entire dragon broods were hunted to extinction. The war ended when the greatest dragon city in the clouds collapsed, raining ruin across the land. Dragon bone weapons became even more common, which ultimately was one of many reasons for The Ashen War The Ashen War (Age of Rising Empires) Dragons fought each other for dominion of the skies, dragging mortal nations into their conflict. Skies turned black with ash for decades. Nations were targeted for their dragon bone stockpile and weapons. Many forests became wastelands, birthing cursed regions lost to memory The Last Great Dragon War (Age of Arcana) The most recent and most devastating Dragons united under ancient wyrms to reclaim dominance, but mortals wielding steel, magic, and Warforged constructs resisted Continents were scarred: rivers rerouted, mountains shattered, and cursed lands like Embervale burned eternally The Elder Wyrms vanished by the end – slain, banished, or hidden. Most assume them to be long dead or gone from this world/continent The Drakoria Kingdom rose from the ashes, claiming to be the inheritors of the dragon kin’s legacy

Economy & Trade

Normal Gold, Silver, Copper coins used. Each city region has its own economy based on location, Drakoria empire makes amazing dragon bone/scale armor and weapons. Emerald Empire knowns for great craftman works and steampunk esk machines, as well as ore. Skyport is a port city with a major Navy protecting its skies and seas.

Law & Society

Emerald Empire allows none inside its walls due to being warforged pretending to be dwarves, and afraid of retaliation. Drakoria is very honor bound and lawful. Skyport and Manahold are more of local governments that based punishment off of crime.

Monsters & Villains

The Painted Mask is seen as an ill omen or trickster god. Although is the one true being of creation in this world. There is an Ancient Bone/Necro Dragon in the Embervale that waits for someone foolish enough to disturb it. The Floating Necropolis is a constant fear and horror of this world, alarms sounding when it is seen floating towards a city/town.
