World Overview

Technology is at a rudimental level. It's something like a medival world with distinguished steam steampunk elements. Magic is rare and feared. Some noble houses and the kings house hold a couple mages but in the kingdom rogue mages are feared and hunted. The kingdom is parted into three major groups. The Loyalists towards the Crown. The Green, which fight against development and the steampunk, in love with nature and preservation. And the Church, who openly support the Crown and fulfill inquisition. Only the High Temple is a known peaceful ground, a place where a treaty exists between all three groups. The Chrystal Kingdom is known for its infamous hunting of dragons centuries ago, they believe that they have extinguished the whole dragon race.

Geography & Nations

The Chrystal Kingdom is a continent which believes itself to be the strongest. On the southern side there's a big trading place at the massive harbor. Though trading is strictly regulated by the crown. The Chrystal Kingdom is rich and luxurious but the further you get away from it the poorer the geography gets, till the smallest villages farthest away, are barely surviving. There are a lot of black markets where all three fractions, travels, traders and people intermingle and try to stay peaceful. General wealth is overall bad because the Crown keeps getting wealthier while taking from the public.

Races & Cultures

Mainly humans inhabit the Chrystal Kingdom. Sometimes there are druids and elfes, though they try to stay hidden because of the kingdoms believes. While dragons are believed to be extinct, they are still very much existing, just outside of the kingdoms reach. There are also diffrent kinds of were-creatures though they tend to stay in there quarters in the kingdom. Outside of the kingdom, life flourishes.

Current Conflicts

Recently there is an uprising of underground freedom fighters. People are working against the Crown and the Church. In reaction to that they tighten the inquisitions and become much more ruthless, pulling people from the streets in broad daylight. Rumour has it that the Crown has a new, dangerous mage. Also the Crown has an official arena to fight in for gold. Though the fights are usually rigged.

Magic & Religion

There is only a small percentage of people who can use magic. Obviously there is elemental magic but there is also older and more ancient forms like necromancy, soul-magic, death magic and more. Magic is dangerous when not trained correctly. Every fraction of the kingdom believes in diffrent gods. Only the Green naturalists believe that gods have a direct influence to mages.

Historical Ages

A couple centuries all fractions lived in peace with all races and creatures. But due to unknown reasons the crown got greedy and and seized control through oppression and facsism. Ancient texts and words are strictly prohibited.

Economy & Trade

The usual currencies are silver and gold coins. Though because of the poorer state of some villages or parts of the kingdom, people also tend to trade in gifts and goods.

Law & Society

Justice is administered through the Crowns soldiers. Through lately the support from the Chruches inquistitors worsen the whole jurisdiction. There are rarely trials and usually when people get taken from the street, they vanish and never get found. People are openly compliant but in secret, some are revolting and forming secret-freedom fighters.
