In a steam‑powered Victorian world where magic is distilled into potent potions, ordinary citizens are kept blind to the hidden realms while a handful of rare Beyonders sip their way through nine deadly sequences, each demanding a different persona to digest the brew or risk becoming a monster. Amidst the clattering factories of Intis and the shadowed archipelago of Rorsted, the unseen Astral, Spirit, and Mind worlds pulse with dragons, gods, and ancient giants, offering perilous quests for those brave enough to breach the veils of reality.

World Overview

Magic in this world is replaced by a power system that draws abilities from potions. The technology is late victorian like. Where unfortunately, fossil fuel based oil doesn't exist. So steam and Machinary are used mostly throughout the world, albeit poor in certain countries. And as for citizens, they're lacking in knowledge when it comes to the supernatural, since special organizations exist to keep the public away from it. But it wouldn't be difficult to find information about Beyonders. Or to become one.

Geography & Nations

In special realms, each with their own traits. And can only be accessed through special means. The Astral world where the Gods and Spirits resides, its incredibly difficult to reach this world as youd need to pass the spirit realm. The Spirit realm which holds all lesser spirit beings, but evil spirits still exist within. The mirror world, one that reflects a portion of the shown area, the mirror world can hold pocket dimensions to hide or store things in. The mind world, where only certain people who Drink a certain potion can access, as this world is within minds and dreams, where it affects the subconscious of others, changing them without knowing. The historical Void, it holds all of history within it, being able to retell a story in certain position sequences, or summon things from the past. The underworld, it holds the afterlife, and is the domain of the Dead. There is also Ancient Divine Kingdoms that people dont even know exist and are given randomly to people, that only a very small amount ofcan have, as there is only 8 in existence. These Divine kingdoms are a representation of the Holders desires, ideals, emotions or concepts that they hold. And after one owner of the Divine kingdoms perish, it'll be transfered to the next. As for these next locations, they all exist in the material realm. On the western continent exists Intis Republic and Loen Kingdom, in between them is Tingen City. And the Rorsted Archipelago that holds the towns of Bayam, city of silver and New Moon City.

Races & Cultures

There are Giants that have existed long ago, there hight stood tall, and their strength dominant, they were on equal strength to the dragons, and there powers, Ancient buildings still exist today, unfortunately in a ruin like state. Elves also exist, and admired strength, unfortunately they would be considered as extinct. Dragons also existed, but in the Era currently, they reside within the Mind world. Flying above the Subconscious, and only acting when something interrupts or changes the subconscious in the mind world. Demonic wolves, they are an ancient race, that would look like humans but with wolf like ears, they aren't seen in the current era, due to living in an ancient land far beyond.

Magic & Religion

Magic in this world are called spirit. Beyonders who are sequence 9 to 1 draw their powers from the spirit realm (Not spirits, just the energy from the realm) Beyonders at lower sequences from 9 to 5 need to control their Spiritual sight otherwise they'll be overwhelmed and lose control of their powers, turning into monsters, but with enough focus, they can become stronger. There's pathways and Sequences. Sequences are levels for pathways. And with each sequence, has their own unique name, such as Seer, marionette, emperor etc. In this world, you can't force yourself to drink potions all the way from sequence 9 to sequence 1, you need to first Digest the current potion. Otherwise you'll lose control and turn into a monster. A sequence 9 is considered a low sequence and sequences 3 and below are high sequences. You need to drink the fitting sequence potion and, albeit organizations and religious churches hide this fact, to quickly digest their potion, you'll need to learn through the sequences name. Once you drink a potion, you must resist the murmurs and ravings of the voices in the spirit realm, and after you gain your focus, you'll succeed in becoming a beyonder or attaining a higher sequence A person who consumes sequence 9 Seer potion must act like a seer to quickly digest. A person who drinks the Sequence 9 thief potion must act like a thief to also digest quickly. And applies to every sequence and their sequence name. Sequences are states of strengths. Sequences 9 is slightly above human, though vary in different Pathways. And gain small abilities. Sequence 8 gain new abilities, an would be considered above human, or street tier. Sequence 7 are capable of destroying stone walls with certain abilities, while gaining new ones or upgrades to their previous sequences Sequence 6 are capable of destroying walls with ease, gaining new abilities and upgrades to their previous sequence abilities. At sequence 6 and lower, you'll also have to go through Advancement rituals, where you can only consume the next sequence during these rituals, these rituals inhabit different ways of working, such as one may need to appear as mysterious to others, or pretend and successfully fool citizens into thinking them a god. Sequence 5 are capable of destroying buildings, though depends on their pathways, they also gain new abilities and upgrades. Sequence 4 gains abilities to destroy city blocks, and gain a new mythical Creature form, that becomes more distinct and stronger in further sequences. Sequence 3 can destroy multiple city blocks with their new abilities. Also, their mythical Creature form starts to conceptualize further Sequence 2 are large town/city level and with their abilities can destroy it entirely. New abilities and upgrades and their mythical Creature form gains stronger abilities as it gets more conceptualized Sequence 1 is largely continental level, and are capable of destroying countries. There is a sequence 0 but that's considered a myth. Pathways are basically 22 different routes. Each route different and are based on tarot cards. For example, the Fool Also everyone is born normally, only those who are extremely lucky are born with a uniqueness, being given either a Divine kingdom, or high spiritual sight, or born with a pathway In this world, people given special abilities are called "Beyonders" and are quite rare, one could go their about their life and only pass 80 throughout their life, but that doesn't mean their lives are unaffected because they aren't there. Certain pathways are capable of interacting with the special realms. Spirit, Astral etc. Seers can use rituals to gain visions in their dreams, or locate a target using their spirit energy. The pathway that holds the sequence Spectator are capable of diving into the Mind world as they go higher in their sequences. Also, in order to make a potion sequence, you need to find the ingredients for it along with the Recipe aswell Also, when a Beyonder loses control, and turns into a monster, and eventually dies either to other monsters or beyonders, they drop an artifact that gains abilities, the higher the sequence, the more dangerous the artifact, they could also be used as a ingredient for the sequence Pathway they were on. You also can't change pathways either, once you go to a specific sequence 9 pathway, you must follow it until sequence 1, but if you decide to change your pathway, you'll have to undergo an endurance test of sorts, resisting the screams and murmurs, otherwise you'll lose control. But if you succeed, you successfully swap pathways, but gain a mutation of sorts. Also, once reaching Sequence 4, you become a demigod, at higher sequences, you'll need to undergo a ritual and attain the current gods blessing to become one yourself, as God's dont ever enter the material world, only using their minions or their abilities to disrupt. Or you could stealthily become a god if you managed to hide from their divine sight. Once you get to higher sequences from Sequence 4 to 1, you'll gradually turn into a mythical Creature, unfortunately, you radiate too much power and if a citizen were to look at a Sequence 4 to 1, they'd lose their mind and go mad, lower sequences must endure when looking at them otherwise they'd lose control. Which is why beyonders who reach godhood at sequence 4 to 1 must reach the Astral world to make sure they dont harm citizens in the material world.

Planar Influences

The spirit world is where Beyonders Draw their energy/mana from, without it, they wouldn't be able to use their abilities. The Astral world is a realm thats connected to the spirit realm, but in a deeper level, as you need to cross the spirit realm to reach it. And only a few of the pathways can reach the spirit realm. And within the Astral realm, only powerful gods and Monsters alike live here, as their divinity is too powerful for the material world. The mirror world can be used through small amounts of pathways, and is usually used to hide and store things. The mind realm where dragons lay dormant, only a few pathways can enter the mind realm. The historical Void can only be used by varying Pathways, some can draw things from the past to be used as a weapon, summon a person from the past to fight, or use it to gain sight of the past. The underworld is the realm of the dead, no spirits lie here as only corpses remains, only a few pathways gain access to this realm. Divine kingdoms a realms given to 8 individuals, you dont need to be a beyonder to own these realms, but are based on pure luck should one get it. Owning Divine kingdoms, you gain access to their unique perks of sorts, it could make you untraceable even with divinity based spells, could be used as a base, etc. Each kingdom varies in perks and uses, but to trigger and find out if you own any of them is difficult to understand, for it may be triggered through fight or flight, or speaking a specific incantation.

Historical Ages

In the first Era, giants, dragons, humans and vampires, elves and the like struggled for power an land. In the 2nd, the Humans were left with the land after the other races either chose to inhabit different worlds, or they simply disappeared. 3rd era, is where steam and machinary prospered, leaving humans to survive after the war. 4th era, in the current era, with the late victorian like steam and machinary.

Economy & Trade

Currencies are normal, citizens can be working as cleaners or accountants and the like, and even detectives, some few beyonders would become bodyguards, spies or mercenaries. As they would gain money that way.

Law & Society

Justice is administered through churches, some churches hold on to recipes for specific pathways, a church of sleep may have recipes for their higher sequences. And within the city of Intis, exists 3 religions, and in Loen exists 3 religions aswell.
