In the shimmering realm of Aramore, every soul fuels a luminous Flow that can be harnessed by rare Flowbearers to wield impossible magic, yet the shattered shards of this power have birthed labyrinthine dungeons that threaten to unravel reality itself. As empires vie for dominion, cults seek to reforge destiny, while heroes and rebels fight to preserve freedom amid swirling storms of Black Flow and the looming return of the Architect of Broken Paths.

World Overview

Aramore is a high-magic, high-destiny world shaped by the Flow, a luminous stream of spiritual energy produced by every living soul. Once unified, the Flow shattered in an ancient cosmic war, scattering fragments across reality—each fragment forming a Labyrinth, a reality-warping dungeon created by defeated astral beings known as Eidolon Lords. Individuals blessed by the Flow—Flowbearers—can wield impossible magic and ascend to kingship. However, a hidden cult seeks to gather the broken Flow shards to return the world to predestined order, while rebels and wandering heroes strive to defend freedom, fate, or power. Everything you do bends the Flow… and the Flow bends back.

Geography & Nations

The Sapphire Coast League A proud chain of glittering port-cities, ruled by merchant princes and privateer fleets. Wealthy, politically cutthroat, and innovative in magic-tech. The Empire of Karthuun A harsh desert empire forged by discipline and prophecy. Their armies are bolstered by Sand-Wrought Automata, ancient constructs animated by Flow. The Thousand-Step Dominion A mountainous realm of monks, mystics, and dragon-blooded warlords. Home to the Sky Monastery, where Flowbearers are trained. Virellea A vast forest-kingdom ruled by a sentient world-tree. The elves here are grown, not born—living symbiotes shaped by the tree’s will. The Warding Strait An island chain ravaged by a permanent magical storm. Pirates, exiles, and renegade Flowbearers thrive here, wielding storm-touched magic. The Obsidian Caldera A lawless volcanic land filled with molten chasms, subterranean forges, and monsters mutated by corrupted Flow.

Races & Cultures

Humans Varied, ambitious, the most adaptable to Flow-mutation. Elari (Treeborn Elves) Symbiotic beings grown from Virellea’s world-tree, connected to a nature-flow that borders psionic. Karthuun Forgelings Stone-skinned humanoids created using Sand Automata blueprints; half-living, half-construct. Skyborn A lineage touched by dragon-flow; born with crystalline horns and innate gravity magic. Wraithfolk Humans whose souls partially detached during the Flow Shattering. Pale, ghost-voiced, able to phase through matter. Eidolon Remnants (Rare) Descendants of fallen astral beings. Rare, powerful, and feared.

Current Conflicts

Karthuun Expansion The empire prepares for conquest using new automata forges. Sindral Coast Trade War Merchant princes sabotage, raid, and assassinate each other for control of sea routes. Astral Scar Widening Something stirs beyond reality, pushing the world toward another Shattering. Flowbearer Wars Nations now train, kidnap, or weaponize emerging Flowbearers.

Magic & Religion

Magic: The Flow System All magic draws from the Flow, which exists in three states: White Flow Life, creation, order, healing, light. Azure Flow Arcane forces, storms, gravity, elemental manipulation. Black Flow Entropy, emotion, shadow, forbidden magic powered by despair. Most casters manipulate a mixture, but Flowbearers can wield a pure type. Flowbearers (Equivalent to Magi / Vessel Users) Can see the Flow around souls Can bend destiny slightly Can awaken Flow Arms—weapons holding a shard of an Eidolon Lord Flow Arms grow with their wielder, eventually allowing transformations called Eidolon Ascensions. Religion There is no single god—only the remnants of ancient beings: The Eidolon Lords Powerful astral entities defeated in the cosmic war. Their fractured essences became the Labyrinths. Each Eidolon embodies a concept: Serakhal, the Scale-Breaker (Balance) Vyriss, the Soulfire Siren (Desire) Orothuun, the Gilded Tyrant (Conquest) Nath’ra, the Weeping Star (Despair) Kaelor, the Infinite Archive (Memory) Clerics and cultists tap into their lingering power.

Planar Influences

The Flowstream The metaphysical river of all souls. Flowbearers see its currents; sages can step into it during meditation. Astral Scar A rift left by the cosmic war—where corrupted Flow seeps through, birthing horrors. Labyrinths Self-contained pocket dimensions, each built around a shard of an Eidolon. Inside: impossible geometry living puzzles Flow-forged beasts a “Heart Trial” that grants a Flow Arm to the victor

Historical Ages

Age of Astral Unity Eidolons rule the unified Flow. The Flow Shattering Civil war among celestial beings destroys the astral plane and splinters the Flow. The Labyrinth Age Mortal civilizations rise by conquering Labyrinths and claiming Flow Arms. Current Age – The Tides of Awakening Flow anomalies grow stronger. More Labyrinths appear. New Flowbearers are awakening faster than ever. Something is returning…

Economy & Trade

Major Goods Flow crystals enchanted glass elemental spices labyrinth artifacts forged automatons soul-ink (used for magical contracts) Trade Routes Sapphire Coast maritime empire desert caravans of Karthuun sky-carriages from the Thousand-Step Dominion pirate trade from the Strait Magic is a commodity—governments battle for Flow resources.

Law & Society

Some nations register Flowbearers; others hunt them Labyrinth rights are sacred—whoever discovers one owns its treasure Constructs and living-forged beings have limited legal rights Criminal guilds steal Flow Arms and sell them to warlords Adventurers are often hired as Labyrinth-trained specialists

Monsters & Villains

Flow-Twisted Beasts Creatures warped by broken Flow: gravity serpents ember wolves glass-wings shadow phantoms memory eaters Cult of the First Stream Worshipers of Orothuun, believing fate should be absolute. They manipulate destinies, assassinate Flowbearers, and awaken Black Flow anomalies. The Eidolon Wraiths Astral ghosts of slain Eidolons—broken, hungry, whispering. Karthuun Fanatics Warrior-monks who believe only the Empire deserves Flow power. They perform rituals to forcibly bind Flow shards to themselves. The Stormcorsairs Pirate tyrants who wield storm-enhanced Flow Arms. Their leader seeks to open a Labyrinth inside the Great Storm itself. The Architect of Broken Paths (Primary Cosmic Threat) A reawakened Eidolon Lord who seeks to reassemble the Flow into a single, unbreakable fate, even if it destroys free will entirely. Their cultists spread despair, disrupt Flow currents, and open scars between worlds.
