Every scrap of salvaged knowledge could tip the balance of power, as factions vie for control of the ancient machinery that holds the key to rebuilding—or destroying—what remains of civilization.

World Overview

This is a post-apocalyptic world where humanity had fought an alien invasion, " Meld," an intelligent entity composed of nanites that can take many forms. In the wake of the war, the world fell to ruin now humanity lives in mobile cities named Salvaged Unions. Lost technologies are buried under the ruins of the old world that once humanity inhabited. Now, in the new one, mutated creatures, raiders, corporations, rogue mechs, and the remnants of the aliens that once invaded. You are a pilot of a Mech that goes out to salvage parts from different zones, where you can find basic components, abandoned mechs, riches, or technology from the old world. PS: This is not original content; it is from the TTRPG Salvage Union by Leyline Press. I just wanted to bring this World to Old Greg's Tavern to the best of my abilities.

Geography & Nations

There are no Nations. The Salvage unions are mobile cities that can range from 1,000 to 1,000,000 people. They are divers and can use any mode of transportation. As for Geography, the far deserts of the buried cities, the sunken ruins of many seas, the forests and jungles full of secrets, and the mountains that hold unknown riches.

Races & Cultures

All the world is now inhabited by humanity, although some have chosen to upload their consciousness and become artificial intelligence. Humanity uses a lot of AI, some more human than others. Mutations have appeared in humans, some mild, barely noticeable, and some have lost humanity entirely

Current Conflicts

Raiders that use nothing more than simple blades, cars, and tanks, to Mechs capable of bringing down a small Salvage Union. Rogue AI that has gone mad. Other Salvage Unions that fight for resources. Or now dormant alien machinery that has now woken up. Bio-Titans are an amalgamation of machinery and creatures comparable in size to a kaiju that were used in the age of "The Conflict."

Magic & Religion

Magic does not exist. But Religion is subjective, as new cults and religions rise and fall fast

Planar Influences

The aliens " Meld " never came back since the war, but the remnants of the war are still on Earth. They pose a high threat to anyone and everything since they are made of nanits; they can be as big as a human or the size of a Salvage Union.

Historical Ages

The eras that came before were the "Lost times." Not a lot is known of this era, before the war with the aliens. During the war, named the age of "The Conflict," and the actual era was named " The age of the Wastes."

Economy & Trade

Economy inside the Salvage Union is not that much as everyone is working to keep the Salvage Union going and stable, But Trade between the Salvage Union comes down to how better the quality of scraps you have or what piece of technology you have .

Law & Society

All Salvage Unions have their own laws and Society

Monsters & Villains

Many Bio-Titans that remain active have claimed chunks of the world as their territories, and all who wander in them never return. AI that has remained active since the age of "The Conflict." Raider Bosses do not care for anything in the world, just their own greed and wealth The biggest Salvage Union ever seen, named "The Conglomerate," wants to control the world and all the ancient technologies
