Long before the known star-lanes were charted, the galaxy existed in a fragile equilibrium called The Astral Accord. Ancient civilizations—now reduced to myth—built vast engines at the edges of reality to keep something else out. What lay beyond was not empty space, but a living void, filled with colossal beings known only as Void Titans. When the last of those civilizations fell, their safeguards failed. The result was The Fracture—a galaxy-wide event where space itself tore open in scattered regions. From these wounds emerged monstrous entities: planet-sized leviathans, star-feeding horrors, and creatures that defy known biology. These beings are not evil in the traditional sense; they are intrusions, following instincts older than stars.
