World Overview

HIGH magic, with a deep root in Fey influence, mid evil fantasy.

Geography & Nations

There are 5 major kingdoms, the dwarven kingdom hidden behind unpassable mountains the only entrance through a massive fortress at the northern border of the dwarven kingdom which is located to the southwest of the map, the secluded Elven kingdom surrounded by ocean to the south, the human kingdom to the north east cut off from the world by the war torn desert rumored to be where the gods held their war, the kingdoms of the free folk to the east deep in the swamp lands, in the center of the map is the mystical fey lands shrouded in mystery most wouldn't dare go there due to very few ever coming back the same. The dwarven kingdom are very mountainous and snowy with the dwarven cities being cut into the mountains, while the elves live in a extremely dense lush forest, the humans kingdom is rolling plains and fertile fields, the swamplands of the free folk is dense and very similar to the rainforest, while the fey lands are thick with magic of all sorts and densely forested, finding a town or let alone village nigh impossible though they exist. Ruins scatter the world of lost civilizations and centuries of wars between just about every spieces, though the fey have never been involved.

Races & Cultures

Fey are still in tune with the ways of old and are rumored to still protect the old gods maybe even speak with them still, they have stayed out of all conflicts, and where the first to inhabit the world. Dwarves are very similar to Charlemagne period of France Elves are very similar like to be left alone and have a deep hatred towards the dwarves as they have fought many times Humans are very open to all and trade friendly, the youngest race to the world Every other race you can think of calls this world home and either lives in the swamplands or within the human kingdom

Current Conflicts

The dwarves and elves are in a tense truce after the dwarves sank half the elven land into the ocean cutting them off from the main continent, they have been this way for a century. Rumors of signs from the old gods have put many countries at an uneasy alarm Human kingdom seeking to expand territory has pushed its borders Freefolk have been raiding human settlements Dwarven cities have gone dark or disappeared overnight Elves speak of monsters roaming the lands that haven't been seen in decades. The ever consuming lure to explore the mysterious fey lands that all kingdoms feel. Most think the fey are a myth at this point.

Magic & Religion

Magic works just likenormal with a spell for just about everything as long as you have learned how to use it. Deities exist but they are not real just made up by the races of the world after the disappearance of the 2 pantheons of gods that created the world.

Planar Influences

This world is currently cut off from all other planes.

Historical Ages

The birth of the world, sprouted from a world tree that has not been seen in eons, rumored only the fey know where it is. The thousand year war between the gods, created the harsh desert that seperates the human kingdom from the rest The disappearance of the gods leading to an entire race wiped from history only thing left is ruins that spread across the world, majority being in the northwest between the dwarven kingdom and the fey forest.

Most trade between the kingdoms is dangerous and risky requiring months of prep. Though trade within kingdoms are based off the natural resources found in respective areas and based off normal trade routes and agreements
