In Netheril, ancient continents clash under a sky where voidships ferry warriors, merchants, and dragons between worlds, while the living realms of Xan, Alluria, Yinwe, and Lgathos teeter on the brink of war, necromancy, and the return of the dreaded Artorias. High magic, diverse cultures, and a fragile peace forged by deities and feudal lords paint a tapestry of epic battles, political intrigue, and the ever‑present threat of the Council of 13 breaking free from the land of the dead.

World Overview

The setting is classic fantasy with high magic and a plot twist: there are "space" ships! Classical but a little redefined ships travelling the void between worlds, transporting goods, running errands, waging war - when the land is not enough. The main setting, the world of Alluria is a planet like every habitable planet and plane of existence, have its highs and lows, beauties and dreadful places as well as serene people and terrible foes. Even some dragons as well.

Geography & Nations

The world is divided into four continents: Xan, Alluria, Yinwe and Lgathos. The major population everywhere is human, with dwarves, different kind of elves, gnomes, lizardmen, orks, goblins are minority. Except Orks. They spread like wildfire. Tieflings and other exotic races, like saurials, aarakochra and felines are rare and usually comes over on voidships and portals. Xan is the continent of lush forests, like equatorial rainforests, some deserts and two large rivers across the shores from ocean to ocean. There are 4 kingdoms, teh most dominant one is Xhuluact, the Sun God's Throne. That is a theocracy, ruled by priests, presiding over them is the Speaker of Sun, the High Priestess. Alluria: the most balanced of them and the largest continent. Close to Yinwe, this landscape shows much variations of them all, birthing a medieval style culture. There are 6 kingdoms, the most dominant of them is the Harrenhal Alliance, ruled by King Randor the IV. Yinwe: a totally feudal style, eastern themed continent, third in size. Chinese and japanese themes, also divided to two large parts, one ruled by the Jade Emperor, the other ruled by the Shining Shogun. Lgathos: the land of the dead. Literally. Undead. Demons. Devils, name it, the are there. Enemies of the known kingdoms, caged to their land. Still dangerous, dreaming of breaking the already cracking spell to hold them back. Their supreme lords are the Council of 13, led by the ancient Arch Lich, Wros.

Races & Cultures

Humans are dominnant as they supposed to. Different ethnics and colors exists, but white is quite dominant on Alluria, hispano and black are dominant on Xan, eastern genes are on yinwe and rot, green and disgusting on Lgathos :) Major elf races are: High Elves of Arvandil, Wood Elves of the Everforest, Dark Elves of Corlys and Moon Elves of Silverglade. All elven subraces are tolerating each other and looks down on everyone else, except Dark Elves who are the most warlike and dislike other elves are taller and stronger. Dwarves are secretive but overly friendly with their allies, mountain dwellers and their two major nations are the dwarves of the Hearth at Thunder Peak and the Artificers of Gan at Skyshroud Harbor, the "spaceport". Gnomes are living at Skyshroud, usually inventing something either fantastic or dangerous. There are Half Elves and Half-dwarves in thin numbers. Lizardmen or saurials as people usually call tehm are living in Xan's jungles in larger numbers, humanoid dinosaurs a bit larger than an average human. Mostly peaceful, but even the Sun Priests avoid to piss them off. Orks, goblins and their kind are not the favourite of all intelligent species. THere are some who integrated into society more or less, but overall, they are kind of uncontrollable. Except for one entity who is believed to be vanished. If it would be around war would be inevitable.

Current Conflicts

Ther are many conflicts throughout the continents. The Jade Emperor and the Shogun are in a bitter peace but under the peace, dark machinations are in place: assassinations, bribery and arranged riots. In Xan, a dark force tries to open a gate to Lgathos to summon the Council of 13 to occupy the Sun Throne and use its magic to rule the realms. On the main continent more and more monsters arrived and appearing from nowhere to attack convoys, raze towns and even attack the large cities. Necromancers and Cultists tries to resurrect the Aspect of Dread, the huge Dragon, Artorias. Besides of that just the normal everyday hack n slash...

Magic & Religion

Every nation have its religions. At Xan, teh Feathered Serpent and the Great Jaguar God rules over. The southern parts, near the Deserts, att he lands of Norhutep, the Sun God Ammuni and the Moon Goddess Ishar are the main forces. On Yinwe, they pray to the Ancestral Dragons, Izunaya the Sun and Mori-O-Kami the One-Who-Stands-Vigil. On Alluria there are tons of deities prayed to. Elves prea mostly to Agathon the Father, Jannelia teh Mother of Trees, Min the Nurturer and Dark Elves follow Raunathor the God of Honor, War and Glory. Dwarves pray to Gold. Pure gold usually, but if it comes to gods, they share Old Beard with gnomes and Virgil Hammerhand, the God of the Forge. HUmans have lots of deities: Majel the Goddess of Mystery and Magic, Gerdan the Protector, Kelvor the Mighty, Harren the God of Travellers, Madura the God fo Trickery and Night, Shina the Mistress of Dark Secrets, Hana the Mother and Goddess of the Home, Porunn the Warrior Maiden, Velgar the God of Battle and Revenge.

Planar Influences

Via Star or voidships. There are a few ports that can land them. Traditionally they cannot fight if around one port, but on the skies and in the void there are lots of skirmishes. Also magiciand and summonres open portals to other dimensions and other places. SOmetimes with fatal resolutions...

Historical Ages

THer was two major ages before this Fourth Age. No one knows about the First Age. The second age was heralde by the coming of dragons and the Dragon Succession Wars and the Third age was the coming of Solariel, the World-Burner. The Second age was ended, when the dragons succeeded to find peace and established rules before burning down the planet, the Third ended with a huge, bloody and devastating conquest and the great batles that ended it, banishing Solariel, who wsa originally a High Elf.
